open access and aesthetic education
accés obert i educació estètica al Museu Tàrrega Urgell

Since November 2021, I have been transforming the educational program of the Museu Tàrrega Urgell, and creating an Accessibility and Diversity Workforce.

Design, writing and making of the didactic action plan. Renewing the workshops and the materials for educators. During this process, I also improved the accessibility of the museum's Wordpress website and its SEO to improve the outreach.

This project was launched in March 2022 at the Museu Tàrrega Urgell from the perspective of Care Ethics, as a way to transform the museum into an agent of community care. It consists of activities and long-term alliances with grassroots orgs and vulnerable collectives. Through different explorations and workshops, they can occupy the museum in different manners. Museum for Kids: Education with the Arts

Taking an interactive approach to afford an aesthetic experience for everyone. Trying to engage with the group to develop critical thinking, bodily consciousness and attention to detail. One of the main new initiatives I led and coordinated was a yearly collab with ESDAP Performative bachelor groups that consisted of creating interventions in the rooms of the museum collection, thus promoting different modes of engagement in the arts.

As part of the Museum and Cure Program, in March 2022 we starte the visual descriptions workshops of the collection with non-visual shared learning experiences inspired by Georgina Kleege, Carmen Papalia and Aislinn Thomas. We start pilot tests with the girls of the Juvenile Employment Plan of the Tàrrega City Council You can read it all about the workshops event here in Catalan and a translation into English here
